Come study at ENSTA

As a prestigious Graduate School of Science and Engineering, ENSTA is committed to providing its excellent education to the best international students.
That is why every year we welcome many students from around the world who follow the same courses as French students: engineering programs, master's degrees, and Advanced Masters.

As a student with a foreign degree, you can undertake:

  • An academic degree program
  • A program as an auditor at ENSTA (exchange student)
  • A PhD or research internship
    • PhD: The six Faculties (Faculties of Science and Technology) spread across our two campuses regularly welcome international students working on their PhD theses. Interested students should contact the School's laboratory directly, depending on their proposed thesis topic.
    • Research internships: Students from partner universities wishing to undertake a research internship in one of the laboratories at ENSTA should contact the relevant laboratory based on their research topic and complete the internship application form.

Auditors

Students enrolled in a program at an institution that has a partnership with ENSTA may apply to spend a semester or a year a visiting student at ENSTA (Brest or Paris-Saclay campus).

Admission outside of partnerships (free movers)

Students wishing to join the ENSTA program after having begun their higher education at an institution that does not have a partnership with ENSTA may apply to join the first or second year (depending on their profile) on the basis of their academic record. These students, who are “admitted on the basis of their qualifications,” will join the ENSTA engineering program and receive their ENSTA MSc in Engineering at the end of their 2- or 3-year course of study.

Double degree admission

Students enrolled in a program at an institution that has a partnership with ENSTA can study for two years at ENSTA (Brest or Paris-Saclay campus) after completing three years of higher education at their home university. Thanks to this one-year extension of their studies, students will receive degrees from both institutions at the end of the program: ENSTA and their home institution.
